Did the twist develop during tillering or is it inherent to the stave?

Do you have pictures and a little more detail of the twist?

Some self bows have a little natural twist and sometimes even allot. If the limbs cancle each other it will alamost always balance out if natural and not caused from tillering. I have made some bows from staves that looked like a propeller.

No someone else made the bow and when I got it, it was fine. Tried to brace it and I cant get the string to stay on. Looking at it I can see the twist.

The string grooves might not be deep enough.
Pics would really help us determine the problem and a remedy.
