Hackberry Copperhead bow strikes!
« on: October 31, 2012, 10:13:00 PM »
Guys,
I just have to post and show you all a bow I made this late summer. I feel so bad for not getting any proper pictures of this bow, but I was too busy shooting it and deciding whether I wanted to keep it or give it to the man you will see in the link provided. He took this bow to McCalister Army Ammunition Plant in Oklahoma this year and with the first arrow ever shot at a deer, he came home with the one in the picture.

If this link doesn't work go to the one below and look into the Trophy Gallery 2012. You will see the Copperhead bow there.

I am proud of what he accomplished with this bow and what a buck. I am glad that he ended up with this bow.

That is a very dandy deer and just as nice of a bow. I think I have heard of that place and the quality of deer there. And it is archery only if I remember.

But still great job on that bow and his deer.

Thanks Guys. I have searched my pictures and I never took one of this bow. It has black walnut overlays and no arrow shelf. I didn't even put a leather grip on it. I formed the handle so that your hand slid right to the same position every time. It is right at 55 pounds @ my 27 inch draw. It took some string follow, but the tips were reflexed and the string is very taunt at brace. It was so smooth and shot so fast that it was very hard to let go of it.
