Had a Mahaska recurve. Fast, Smooth, but tons of hand shock.

Kent fixed a longbow i bought in 03, Ichipped a limb tip at the string groove . New tips and refinished every thing no charge. it was my fault and after three years .Perty good service.

I had a longbow and would still have it if it had been shorter. It was 66" and too long for me. Otherwise, I liked it very much.
I discussed strings with him over the phone. He said that his concern about FF was mainly in the event of a dry fire and that micarta tips (or something like that) would be preferable if you were going to use a FF.
Fit and finish on the bow was excellent.
