For that width of a lever it only takes a couple hairs extra thickness than the thinnest part of your working limb to remain static...you can remove a lot of meat off of them...those r clubs,not levers, and are defeating the advantages and purposes of a lever in bow design. But to each his own n its your bow not mine. Bend and everything else looks good tho.

I have been wondering how far I could go with the levers. I will start bringing the "clubs" down. Appreciate the advice.

I know you shoot primative arrows, but what length do you usually make.  I guess I am asking do you make longer smaller diameter or shorter stiffer?

That's a good looking bow.  There's something about a sinew backed bow that I find really cool.  I think it's the idea of using material from the animal you're hunting.  Nice work!

not to hijack your thread, but can someone explain the idea of the lever?  Most bows have pretty static tips (I think), so why do they need to be so pronounced?

My draw length is 27 inches on a very good day. I shoot 29 - 33 inch arrows. Smaller diameter + higher mass weight by using heavy hardwood foreshafts in cane.
 gringol, I'm going to further reduce the tips. I have been conservative with reducing them in the juniper.

Thanks everyone ! I hope to finish this one up soon.
 Sharpend60, I cut 3 bundles, just like making a flemish. Make the loop flemish twist then match the 3 bitter ends to the standing 3 strands and braid. The other end is a flemish twist with a timber hitch.
 I have been experimenting with the linen (flax) thread and am quite pleased with it so far.
