T/D riser Limb pad

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if anyone has asked this yet, I'm not sure how long my limb pad should be.

Currently, I'm aiming at a 4" limb pad for my 16" riser.
What are the distances between the alignment pin and the bolt?

Please do share the dimensions that are commonly used, or those that you have found to be viable for your homemade takedown bows.

On my TD's which I believe to be exactly like Binghams is a 4" overall length of pad. Center to center between alingment pin and bolt is 2 1/4" which are 7/8" from the ends.

Bingham's template is 4.75" long for the limb pads.
2.5" center to center with 1.5" margin between bolt and inner edge of limb pad.

I drew out my riser for 18" but I've decided to cut it down to 16" instead. To save materials and for the riser to look more pleasing to the eye. But then, the limb pad is a huge problem.

I'm experimenting with a 4" pad, 1" from ends, 2" center to center. What do you think about this?

Sorry could have swore Binghams was exactly like mine but it's been years since I made my TD forms.

I think you'd be fine as basically the only difference is 1/8" off the ends!

I'm sure you probably already know but shortening the riser 2" makes for a totally different formula for lams etc to make weight.

My limb pads are 4 1/4" on a 15" riser, Limb bolt with 1 index pin, spacing is 2 1/4". Tony

No worries, no harm done!  
Yes I do know that it makes plenty of difference.
I'm looking at pre-fabricated limbs for now, you think it'll work?
Perhaps next time, I'll rig my own jig and build my limbs.
I was totally inspired by the looks of Robertson Ravenstyk and Fatalstyk.

Any idea if there is any commonly used dimensions? Like those used by big time bowyers? I might be purchasing or ordering limbs from them, so I don't want to risk a misfit!
