wood harvesting
« on: March 17, 2013, 02:11:00 AM »
hey guys I know most of you are in other parts of the country, but was hoping theres a few bowyers from around here the Washington/Idhao state line area.

I am wondering about wood harvesting around here, tried the state, but not many answers, more of a dance.

I want to learn what bow woods each state has growing. Where abouts in each state does said wood grow?  What kind of regs are there concerning wood harvesting, who is in charge, what kind of permits are requiered and whats the cost for the permits?

Sorry to be a pain, just a poor greenhorn newbie, who always seems to think of another question.

Thanks guys,

Frosty

Check with local landscape companies or companies that cut down trees for folks. How about power or gas  companies that clear right of ways? Maybe they will give you some logs.
