First try at snake skins
« on: June 01, 2013, 11:19:00 PM »
Here is something that has been in the works for more than a year now. This bow was built for a good friend. He picked all of the wood and had his heart set on copperhead skins. The riser is bastone walnut and macasser ebony. The limbs have yew for the core and belly veneers of claro walnut. The bow is 60" 52# @ 27". Thanks for looking.

Beautiful bow!
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Thanks guys. Most of the wood and the copperhead skins I found thru tradgang. It is great to have a place to go with good folks to get hard to find items.
