Finished my BBI
«

I ordered some boo and a piece if Ipe from tenbrook a couple weeks ago to try a BBI. I received my order quick and was very satisfied with the materials. Thanks again Cody!
I had good results with my BBO using Dean Torges design so figured I'd stay with it on this BBI. The bottom limb is an 1 1/2 shorter than the top. The finished had cured enough today to put the grip leather on so I took a few pictures. I planned to take some outside but the rain hasn't stopped all day so I apologize for the quality of these.
The fulldraw was taken last week when I was finishing up the tillering. The tiller hasn't changed at this point. The the string that's on it here was from longer bow and I had the crap twisted out of it trying to get the brace I needed. That's why the beaver balls are so far down the string. I broke down and made one after the pic was taken.
And yes Roy, those are my legs and I'm not riding a chicken. And.... my elbow is still too high. :D

Looks great Brad! How's it shoot compared to a BBO of the same design?

Thanks fellas!
Scott,
I'll have to look up the high elbow videos. I've been trying to get my elbow down for the last 6 months but it won't happen. I've shot too long with it up there and can't hit a thing any other way, old dogs and new tricks kinda thing I think.
John,
I'm a little disappointed because from everything I've read, I came to the conclusion that the ipe would perform better than osage in this application. I haven't shot either through a chronograph but I don't see any difference between the two. They're within 2 pounds of each other with the ipe being the heaviest. I'm shooting the same arrows from each, same nocking point, same brace and hitting the same from 40 yards on in.It shoots great but not any quicker that I can tell. I may have been expecting too much. I do like it though.
Thanks again fellas.
Brad
