Yeah, nobody likes a quitter, but I screwed up the thicker rings and I'm left with the really thin ones.

I'll hang on to that stave until I get some experience with some more rookie-friendly ones and then give it another go.

I really do have a much better appreciation for the craftsmanship of you self bow gurus.  Glass lam bows are child's play.

As thin as those rings are, you might be better off using a scraper instead of a draw knife. I knew you glass bow guys didn't have very big family jewels:)..

I was using a combination of scraper and draw knife.  Still kept screwing it up.

Don't feel too bad john....ya should've seen Roy the first(and only) time he tried to chase a ring..and he had firsthand help from both Jeff and I .... we gave him a good rib poking    :biglaugh:   ...too bad your not closer this way,as I'm sure I'd be able to help ya out..or Jeff too.
