I'm right-handed and shoot both. I recently got a deal on a Bitz with LW clamp - then I read the report on the RW needed with the Grizzlys    :banghead:   . Oh well - I haven't honestly noticed a difference between the two.

I use both, just not on the same arrow.

I only shoot Lw and I am right handed. I have shot Curts(Gurus) arrow from my bows and he is a lefty and uses RW, really no difference, but what was mentioned above. If you are shooting a bow that put the arrow right on top of you rhand and are a righty and shoot RW feathers be prepared with a little super glue to stop the bleeding. You can fix that too by just rotating the nock. Shawn

If you want to keep your field tips and broadheads from unscrewing or becoming loose when shooting left-wing feathers, take a little bit of maple syrup, dip the threads into the maple syrup screw into your arrow, let it dry, your tips won't unscrew,

When you want to take your tips off, stick your arrow tips into a hot cup of water, and loosen.

Works great !  It's a lot better then anything else I found.

Also, the arrow needs to be spinning to the right to make a Grizzly work efficiently, correct?

I know it seems this has been covered pretty well but for some reason (maybe because I'm a little slower mentally then I care to admit.) my mind can't find a straight-up answer.

Thanks,

Todd
Todd, right wing will make the arrow spin to the right, clockwise.  Left wing the opposite.  For the Grizzly use right wing.    :D  [/b]
Thank you.

Good shooting,

Todd

I've always used LW simply because there seemed to be a better color variety. Now using primaries from turkeys I take on my own,or others that are "donated" still use LW......just habit now, plus my choppers are LW.

I use both because some times I get a good deal on either one.And with tunable nocks it is easy to adjust for best feather clearence. On wood arrows and other with glue on nocks I wood fletch for the best clearence.I'm RH and with LW I would just fletch them up,but with RW I would fletch cock feather straight up with a TM Hunter nock reciever for the best clearence. On aluminum with RW I would shoot cock feather in.

I'm a RH shooter and shoot LW feathers.  If I make arrows for a lefty, I fletch them with rights.  Wood is all I make or shoot anymore.  I agree with using RW with screw in points.  RW/LW doesn't matter if using an elevated rest.  :archer:

They both shoot the same in theory. I started out with left wing (I'm RHanded) and have an old Herter's fletcher (today sold by Cabelas). It will do right or left, but since I have it set for left and like the angle it's set on I just leave it there and use left wing all the time. I will say though, I got some right wing feathers once from a turkey hunter and used them to make a few arrows. My eyes were so used to the spin of the arrow that when the right wings launched from the bow, my eyes caught the change and it seemed strange. They flew just fine but "strange"
