I have made some self bows and a few wood laminated bows and recently a take down long bow with glass. Why is it that you do not see woods like hickory red and white oak birch sold for lams in glass bows.

Because they are not higher performance woods for lams and do not have the prettier appearance of other wood. The glass is the main factor in performance for glass bows, but core lams add performance and looks.

actionwood is laminated birch I think. There's no reason you can't use any hardwood. People just like fancy things.
If I had to choose between the woods you listed I'd probably use birch ... I think its the lightest.
Curly birch veneers could look very nice. Figured birch can often be had for not alot of money too.
I have seen figured hickory veneers ... but figuring is very uncommon in hickory.

Already said these woods don't have a lot of character. Hickory would be better as a core wood being stiff. A thin edge grain parallel along with the actionboo etc. For looks you can veneer the limbs under the glass.
