tip wedges

I would like to know the average size of tip wedges for a 62" r/d glass  longbow length ,thickness,taper.can they be put on a finished bow to try them out before I use them in my next bow. do you think the results would be similar .

You can add them to a finished bow but you need to be good with a bandsaw.  What are you wanting to accomplish with the wedge?

I was thinking of gluing them to the belly side of the limb tips.to see how it affects performance noise and draw weight.

If you have a mild d/r longbow they are helpful in keeping the string angle from going past 90 degrees. If you have a bow with more reflex there is less need for them. Taper rate of the lams makes a difference ie if you have a whip tillered bow they help more.
