So, I threw a string on bow number 1 today and it looks like a train wreck! I think, anyway. Limbs are pointing pretty much straight which is a good thing. However, the difference between the 2 limbs near the fades is huge and very visible. I think this is the result of things sliding during glue-up. I'm out by a full inch between the two. Is it possible to get that much back by sanding the flat surfaces? Is it worth trying? I did check limb width using calipers at 3 or 4 places from fade to tip and that's good.
Man, I'm bumbed that it's out by that much. The red elm under clear glass looks soooo nice.
