Help me get started
« on: December 08, 2013, 05:30:00 PM »
I am wanting to build a laminated bow. Either a recurve or longbow. I have built a board bow before and it came out ok. What I am wanting to build is just a fairly simple laminated bow to learn how it all works. My question is what all do I need. Does anyone sell a starter kit. I know the question is pretty basic but gotta start somewhere.

Thanks

Aaron

2 x Kenny. He can supply you with all you need to build a bow and he's a nice guy.

Read as many build alongs as possible and ask if you have questions. There are a lot guys here that are willing to share their know how.

Call and or email Kenny.

He has plans for sale and has instructions on form building.  He sells all lams, glass, riser wood and glue.

You'll have to build the form.  Glue it up and sand it out.

Kenny, Binghams Projects, The Old Master Crafter there are several sources.  The Old Master Crafter used to sell glued up blanks should want to go that route. Don't think you could go wrong with any of the above mentioned.
