I agree with the Ol' funny guy
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Glue lines came out really nice!

Got to figure out what I'm gonna do for the tips and glue them on. Also need to shape my fades some more... Gonna be a slow process!

Well feeling about 80% today I thought that I would push myself and do a little work before taking a nap. Spent the entire morning texting ol' Roy back and forth about the bow. Good times! Anyhow here is where she is... Got her bending some but still feels a little heavy... I am shooting for 45# at 28 inches.

She is getting there... Will finish up tillering tomorrow and start shaping the handle. Then will start shooting it in for a while before I finish her up.

Want to do a cool fade of black to brown back to black tips... Gonna try leather dye I have to get a deep color and ready for hunting this spring!!!

That is it for today though.... comments welcomed!

Gonna rub it on and then use steel wool to blend the fade area... I will do a test first though

Looking good, I would round those belly edges down to the glue line now. Ya see those square edges close to the riser too?

Those tips look pretty chunky.  You can slim them way down.  It also looks like you have a pretty proud bamboo node near the upper tip.  I would have to knock that down a bit if it were me.  Be judicious about it though.

Looking good for a plywood bow  :)
