My last bow of 2013
« on: January 01, 2014, 10:55:00 PM »
This one is hickory, 64" ntn, toasted belly, spalted Chinese privet tip overlays and birch overlays on handle area, artificial sinew wraps.  Been working on it for a bit, I swear the string took longer than the bow (served with diamond braid for the loops, homemade yarn silencers.)  Bow was sanded to 800, burnished and then finished with Danish oil and paste wax.

We're still working on his form.  I couldn't get any better pics, he was way too eager to abscond with it.  Anyway, last one of the year, might make myself one somewhat similar.
