Air hose substitute?

What do you Experienced Bowyers think? For a low viscosity Epoxy, that doesn't need much pressure?

Just for a test jammed a slingshot handle into each end, bound with rubber. No air has leaked yet (2 hours)

I have been using a fire hose for many years and have never had a problem.  I do not see a reason to fix something that is working

Are you wanting to glue a glass bow?

I don't think I would chance it, you will end up with week spots and bubbles in your tube and uneven pressure on your lams.
This will result in bad glue lines with glue thicker in spots than other. The bow will fail.

If you can't get fire hose do a search on forms and you'll find some that use bike inner tubes for clamping pressure. I think that would be fine for a mild D/R or hill style bow.

Also you could go to your local fire house and see if they have any old non leaking fire hose. ( it leaks on purpose to cool hose in a fire)

I am wanting to glue up a glass bow, here is a pic of the shape:

Its a mughal horn bow shape, its only the deflexed parts that will do the bending.... Will this work out with rubber band method???

Snapper: Thats fortunately fake wood flooring, other wise there would be a few missing parts of my floor!!!  :D
