Great looking bow, nice colors, what are the limbs, bamboo, maple? Looks great together.
Don't worry, Roy is gonna come out of the wood shed one of these days.
Uh-Oh, I may have just made 'the list'.

My eyes aren't that good anymore. Just ship it to me and I will closely examine it over the next few months....seriously, that's one fine bow. Great job Randy.

Thx for the great comments everyone. Carpin Mark, it's boo veneers over action boo. All the accents are from the same piece of bocote. Everything came from KennyM. Starting a new form for a more mild rd soon. I'm thinking bout cocobolo with myrtle veneers. Still debating.

Thanks a lot guys! I really enjoyed this build. I think I like this glass stuff! Got an idea for a mild rd, and doing a Hill has been weighing heavy on my mind lately! Then Roy's trade bow got me wanting to do a boo back bow. I've got a black walnut stave that should be dry by now! Aaahhhhh! So many bows and so little time!!!!!! Maybe I'll be ready to do a trade bow myself next year and just swap Roy some glass for one of his beauties!!

Great job. Beautiful wood choice. What type of finish did you use?

After talking with KennyM I went with automotive clear coat, sanding between coats. Works surprisingly well. 5 coats on the riser and 3 coats on the flat areas of the limbs. The last coat I sprayed from further away to give it more of a matt finish. I was going to hit it with some 0000 steel wool to dull it a bit more but I just couldn't make myself do it. Thought it was to pretty the way it is.

Love the wood choice - think you made the right choice on not hitting it with the 0000 steel wool!
