Riser Question
« on: April 28, 2014, 10:01:00 PM »
I shaped a riser to the specific request of the friend I am building for and when all is said and done I was a bit concerned with the dimensions because it is a bit smaller than what I normally shape.

The riser is 1 3/8 wide and 1 5/8 deep from back to belly at the deepest part of the grip. Did I make the grip to deep?

Thanks

I think you will probably be okay.  What is the circumference of the grip and the draw weight of the bow?  Circumference of around 4.75" or more and you should be fine especially with the glass across the back of the riser.  Be sure to radius the junction where the sight window meets the shelf.

Thanks Jess - I have 5" around the smallest part of the grip. So I should be good. And I will be sure to radius the sight window as you noted.
