Respirators and Glasses

Does anybody have problems wearing Respirators and glasses at the same time?
they push my glasses up.
What do you use?

If your respirator is pushing your glasses up then most likely the respirator isn't the right size. I wear glasses and have no problem seeing when wearing my respirator.

I don't have a problem, the only problem I have is when I spray a bow the glasses get a little coating ,haze of finish on them. I clean them with solvent.

Mark it drives me nuts using my respirator with my glasses. One strap goes over the crown of my head and the wings of the glasses get pushed out wards allowing them to slip over my great big ears! If I even bend a little off they go again resulting in couple scratches on lens.Can't figure how to get around problem either, can't ditch respirator as it cost an arm and a leg.

I use to scuba dive, so I was looking for a mouth piece respirator, all I can find is a Emergency respirator (one time use)
sometimes I where 2 pair of glasses 1.75 power and 3.0 power together

i have seen the moth piece respirator at lee valley tool- and whats neat about it, is that the mouth piece goes behind your head and draws in the relatively cleaner- ( less dust) air- but i am sure the dust is everywhere- just a lot less behind your head.!!

Not sure what to tell you about the respirator but I wear a old pair of glasses made out of real glass.  I would hesitate to use solvent as a cleaner on more modern materials.

Mine doesn't affect my glasses, and that's good as I wear a right lens with a specific tilt.  I got mine at Home Depot.

Then if you get hot the glasses fog up anyway.....but any protection is better than none....

What ever you use make sure its up to the task! waiting on a CT scan now on my lungs as i have been getting some symptoms that need checking out. Be another week before I can get one. I have nearly always used a respirator but the dust settles all around the workshop and some times you stir it up when not wearing protection. Hopefully my problems will turn out to be relatively minor, but please take care as we deal in deadly stuff, wood dust and especially glass dust.

Damn Bob hope it won`t be anything severe!
I`ve heard about some commercial bowyers who died because of lung damages (cancer etc.) since then I changed my viewing toward respirators and suiting dust collection...
