New 60" longbow
« on: July 31, 2014, 02:29:00 PM »
Finally worked out the kinks in my 60".  This one is 46@28(51@30) with bocote/deepwoods camo actionwood and deepwoods camo veneers with bocote overlays.  Finally figured out the tip wedge/taper rate to keep the tips from being too flimsy... sorry no full draw pics.  It is raining and I don't have anyone(my wife) willing to come out there and take a pic for me  :D

I like the wood combo & nice job!

Dude, you just keep cranking out one beautiful bow after another. I'm thinking we're going to have to get together before too long so I can shoot that new 'curve.  :)

Thanks.

James, I used a .002 taper and 8" tip wedge. It's 1/2" at string grooves and 1 1/8" at the fades

Very nice! Great all the way around. That wood combo is great! Where do you get the deep woods Camo action wood?
