String groove jig
« on: October 16, 2014, 01:19:00 PM »
I remember seeing a reference to a simple string groove jig and can't find the thread again.  Thought I booked marked the personal home page it was on but I must not have.  Anyone remember it.   I'm thinking it was fairly recent. (Few weeks)

i think technically , a piece of paper can only be folded 7 times- or something like that!
when it is no longer a fold, but a radius.

sorry Dan    :(

Found it now that I'm finally done chasing my tail all day.   It was on an old build along in here.  I was watching a bow build video last night that promote the search. The thread wasn't new.  My memory is fantastic............ For turdy seconds haha.

Well do us all a favor and post the thread it was under, I would love to see how people get them right every time. I have trouble filing my lines perfectly

I googled it until I found the pic, had a few minutes of down time I needed to flush my brain from work lol.  There's a bunch of them on google images.

The one was a hill build along on here by John Sweka, and Ray had a similar response to him as he did me about the jig LOL!

My meager attempts really are not up to par either so I know your pain. I'd be better off trying to cut a spiral, at least I'd be closer  ;) .

Pretty sweet build along btw.  I had to put my building on hold, I'm headed down close to Rays neck of the woods.  Originally thought I'd hunt, instead I'm cranking flies and plan on doing some late season trout fishing, should be fun!  Lots of fly fishing history started in the area and I gobble the history right up!  Sure wish the collectors were cheaper on the fishing side than they are on the bowhunting side LOL!
