v-joints
« on: November 12, 2014, 07:39:00 AM »
Greetings...I am about to attach a siyah to a bow I am working on. I hope to try a technique I saw in joining the siyah to the limb.

Is the v-joint a strong way to join the siyah to the limb?

Thank you

The "V" joint has been used for thousands of years and is the way of joining siyahs on traditional horn bows.

Exactly right. Don't even contemplate another method  :)
If you don't get the fit flawless then a quick steam for 10 - 15 min then clamp together will make it so.
