fiberglass sleeve td question
« on: January 01, 2015, 09:04:00 AM »
On this type takedown (like Black Widow, Big Jim and others use) how small of a riser can this be used on?  For reference, could it be used safely on a riser as small as say 1 7/8" deep by 1 1/4" wide?

I'm sure it could be used on most any riser if it is reinforced with a glass I beam.
The finished tennon size of mine varies slightly, but runs about .725 wide and 1.45 deep. I have done them smaller.

I don't know the absolute limitations as I have never had a failure.

thanks, bigjim
