Old Bear bows

Why did Fred Bear back his early bows with glass was it for performance or longevity reasons..?

Fred knew that glass was the coming thing, still is, and he jumped right in there as did all the other archery manufacturers at that time.

Thanks for reminding me had a brain fart when I read your reply.  Of course glass was the coming thing back in the day.............
