Heat tempering bamboo flooring?
« on: March 06, 2015, 07:44:00 PM »
Should I be trying to temper my bamboo flooring lams?
Does it make them any better, stronger, or does it not matter.
If so can I use a heat gun.
The human body is the only machine the harder you work it, the stronger it gets.

I would wonder if you melt the glue holding the lams together? I can not recall anyone saying they heat temper the flooring lams.

Since it's already "set in plastic" I don't believe that trying to heat treat it will do any good.  It is no longer raw bamboo.

I think the caramelized boo flooring has been heat treated to achieve the caramel color.
