Do you guys put the nock point on the string 1/8" above center and do you nock the arrow below it.  Does it really affect anything putting the nock point 3/8" above center or more. I shoot split.

everyone will have their own idea- but this is what i do- i shoot 3 under- and i like two nocks- tied on nocks- look at S2 bowstrings- he has some great tutorials for that. i tie the nocks just a tad further apart than the arrow nock- so when the bow is drawn back and the string is drawn to an apex- that the tied on nocks arent pinching the arrow nock, and jambing themselves into the nock- but too much play may result in imperfect flight- i would imagine.

with 2 nocks the arrow does not slide around on the string, say while an arrow is nocked while i am sitting, and my draw hand is not on the string.
anyway just my thoughts.

adjustable is the way to go no doubt.  I'am using dental floss and have to cut off.

i think those brass nocks can tear up a glove/ tab a bit, and have heard of them scratching the ol lips up a bit. - but maybe there is a right and a wrong way of installing them- i am just too cheap to buy the brass nocks and the special pliers etc etc.

I set the nock point 3/8" above perpendicular to the shelf. I put the arrow below it. This puts the bottom of the arrow nock 1/8" above the shelf as it passes.

I generally don't have to move it because I use that specific nock location throughout construction, tillering, timing, etc.

id use a tie on type knock start at 3/8 above and move until you find that sweet spot. there is no one position

I found a file on my Puter that shows where to put the nock point.  Have been doing it wrong for the last few years.....My nock point was set to low.
