Saw / cut the log asap, otherwise you get small cracks inside your log.

How closer you are to your bow zise , the faster it dry.

Seal the ends of the stave , keep it first out of the sun, and not near the heat,
When you live on a very dry place like Las Vegas, ( the air is so **** dry it suck all the mosture to fast out. Keep it slow in a plastic bag with some holes in it.
