ILF Adaptor
« on: September 22, 2015, 07:56:00 PM »
Does anyone here have any experience converting a wood riser to accept ILF limbs?

I have an SF Optimo Wood 19" riser, similar to Samick Sage and I hope to use ILF limbs for them.

Did a search here but no luck unless I have been using the wrong key words.

Thank you in advance

Robertfishes does some ILF stuff, he may be able to help you.

But in general with a wood riser you should be able to mill a slot for the ILF inserts they sell and a hole for the limb bolt anchor.

Sorry, just making sure. "milling", meaning I can cut into the wood itself? Which I never thought of. Will that be strong enough?

Thank you

My guess is you'll have to mill a slot in the wood and fit a ilf dovetail fitting to the riser. Wouldn't trust a dovetail in the wood itself.
