New member here with a question. I recently acquired an unfinished long bow (a project someone had started but never got around to finishing). Anyways, it still needs some tillering done to one of the limbs and some finish work to be done. My question is this:
Can I laminate another piece of *insert material here* of wood/fiberglass to the belly side of the bow to increase it's draw weight? The front is as flat as a board. My concern is that after tillering the bottom limb the draw weight will drop below 40#'s. I'm sure it'll still be a fun bow to shoot, however, I'd like to be able to use it to "hunt" with- hence the question about adding another layer of lamination to increase draw weight.
Thanks in advance for any advice, comments, or directing me to a thread that discussed this already.
Oh, and thanks for the ad- been pot licking this site for months and finally got around to registering.
