Long bow question
« on: November 20, 2015, 12:09:00 PM »
I had this on the Pow Wow forum, but didn't get a response.  Maybe should have posted my question here instead.  Anyways, any body know of a a custom bow maker named Floyd Oakes?  Have the chance to swap bows with a guy and he has a gorgeous Floyd Oakes long bow he'd like to trade with me.  Anyways, just wanted to know if anyone on the forum knew the maker or have owned any of his bows.  Thanks.

Nope, all I know is that he wrote for National Bow Hunter Magazine for years and he is/was from Louisiana.  No website to speak of.  So, don't know if he's still around or not.  Pretty bow though.

Hey, I actually had a chance to email with him back and forth a bit.  Funny what you can find on Google when you get to around page 26.
