Differences in Fiberglass thickness?
« on: March 06, 2008, 07:13:00 PM »
I've noticed that fiberglass for bows comes in several thicknesses .035, .040, .050 seem to be the most common. Wondering what the advantages and/or disadvantages of using one thickness over the another is in a recurve or longbow?

I think to keep a fairly consistant % glass/wood thickness in the limb. Most use 20-25% glass I believe.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
