Think I've found the spine this thing likes, now I can use Stu's calculator to come up with other combinations. 29", 500 spine carbons, aluminum inserts, a 1.75" footing, and a 250 gr point 532gr total weight.

Miles its a design I came up with when I built my feather burner out of a toaster. Its kind of a modified Dr Ed Ashby style.

Cool bow, and nice shooting Ben.  I think I like the bare metal/terminator look better, but it is hard to tell from the one photo.  Definitely unique.

Ben, we all like build-alongs.

Maybe you should consider a trip down to Goodwill to grab an old toaster so you could to a build-along for your feather burner.

Consider this a request!

Hmm I'll have to give that some thought because I'd hate to be responsible if OLD Roy electrocuted himself trying to follow my build-along

When you stick the arrow down into the toaster, what angle do you hold it and how fast ya rotate it?
You have a FFC of this process?  Forced Fletching Curve..

LOL

I have an OLD, home made, feather burner a guy gave me years ago. It's crude and antique looking. I'll have to get a picture of it.. It's built on an old foot pedal sewing machine frame. Ya have to pedal your butt off to get up enough juice out of the alternator to heat up the element..   :)

I was thinking about your bike and an alternator..

Hey you have an extra room I could stay in for a couple weeks? I'm a little tired of the spring weather up here in Pa on the 9th of April..  I cook, do dishes, and laundry, and I'm house trained.. And I could learn ya how to make real bows..    :)

That's the bow shop just off the patio. Think I might head out there and fire up the wood burner and have a couple 2,3,4 cold beers.   :)

Come on down Roy, you can sleep with the dog, she's house trained too. Crazy weather here though, got our first rain in a month last night but the high is going to be 72 today.
