tiebond3 for art sinew/suede lace?
« on: May 01, 2016, 01:42:00 PM »

Plan to wrap this sinew band-aid with art sinew and really don't feel like messing with hide glue today. Can I just water down tb3 and use that. Don't want a huge mess and also plan to suede lace wrap the handle,,,would it be OK for that also? The bow is a 62" Osage bendy handle that hits 46lbs.@26"  :)

I've used TB3 on all my sinew wraps and patches and never had a problem.  I use the TB3 undiluted, don't know if it matters though.

Why did you add the "band-aid" and why do you want to add the artificial sinew wrap?
TBIII is compatible with artificial sinew but only as a covering or to seal it. All artificial sinew is is larger diameter waxed dental floss with color added. It is in no way similar to real sinew.
TBIII will work with suede. You don't need to thin is but thinning is acceptable.
