Input requested, and a little fun.
« on: June 07, 2016, 02:01:00 PM »
Hey y'all!  Bowmaking is my passion, but a man's gotta eat    :p    In my other life I'm training to be a web developer.  I just completed a project that puts these two together, along the lines of "you might be a bowyer if.." like similar threads in the past.  My app allows YOU to input your favorite phrases that go along with bowmaking.  Please feel free to jump on over on your lunch break and make a contribution!  Also (especially for you webby techie guys, or anyone really), any input you can provide as far as the design and functionality of the app would be greatly appreciated!! (via pm or on this thread) Here it is:

Thanks and enjoy!!

Took a look at the link.

Please take anything I say (type?) as an attempt to be helpful.

I've been doing graphics, literally, all my life. My mum was a watercolour painter, so I grew up drawing and painting. I've made my living in the graphics game for 40 years now.

Stark black and red on a white background somehow doesn't fit the whole 'archery thing'

Colour and typography are really important regarding the presentation of ideas.

When you think of going out with your bow next time, as you step out of the door, what colours do you think of and just go from there.

Hope this helps.

Just a thought for content.

The first bow you make is unlikely to be the last.
