New old bow

I recently bought an old Darton recurve that I was planning to give to my niece to shoot. It shoots well, but it has a small amount of twist in the lower limb. Is there a safe way to remove the twist?

Dave, I've heard you can run hot water over the limb and torque it just past straight and hold it for a few minutes. I've never done it so maybe someone else will chime in.

You can bump the limb straight. Twist the limb in the opposite direction until it's stiff, hold in place for 15 seconds and check straightness, repeat a few times if needed.

x2 on the hot water trick. It's worked for a couple of bows friends have had me fix if the limb isn't too far outta whack.

If the hot water won't due it you would probably have to retiller the bow by sanding the side of the limb.
