Newest Bow
« on: August 12, 2016, 10:53:00 PM »
It has been months since I have built anything but finally got back into the shop and finished a bow for a friend. He wanted one of my bows for the last year so I built one for him in trade for an awesome new 3 weight fly rod.

Anyways it was made with cocobolo, leopard wood, curly maple accents with black glass, and horn overlays.

Sorry I don't have any full draw pictures and it ended up at 60# @ 28 inches.

He was excited to say the least when I showed up at his work with his new bow. Thanks for checking it out guys.

Justin

Beautiful bow!  That wood combination is superb.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Id say you found your calling, copper. The self bows gave you fits, but not these guys. The last few I've seen looked great! nice swap to, a 3 wt would be a nice little stream rod.

Wow, Justin!  That's a dandy.

I remember when you were once asking me for advice.  You certainly put me to shame now.
