Crooked...
You may be right, but a lot of people who want to start with archery start with a Sage.
My first go at archery was back in about 1967 - made my first bow in 1969 - broke after a few hundred arrows.
Didn't have anything to do with archery after about 1970.
School, girls, motorcycles distracted me!
Mentioned archery to my son when he was about 14 - wanted to have a go, so a Sage for Christmas.
I had to have a go with it, of course.
As soon as I did, I decided to get one for myself, which brought me to bow making.
Rarely shoot the Sage these days, but very glad I bought it.
These days I mostly shoot Canadian Made!
