Dave Watson Build Along

I did a search but didn't find anything so I was wondering if anyone had followed or better yet used Dave Watson's build along as a guide for building a laminated long bow? 8 videos in the series and he gives what seems to me as a great deal of information.

I watched it several time. What I like about it is that he doesn't have a shop full of expensive tools. He makes his own jigs and attachmens and he explains his work in great detail.
Totally worth watching.

I agree, it's a very good series. I will add though, I was surprised at the lack of finish he put in to the bow but it's all in what you want I guess.

I've watched his series many times. I've built a couple bows using his techniques. I haven't built a lam taper jig yet, or as he calls it a sander thicknesser yet. Future project tho. Most of the bows I've built using his techniques have been succurssful. Unfortunately he hasn't posted any videos in some time. Would love to see some new one. If your into elb there a guy that has a bunch of good videos, he's relatively new bowyer but I feel like I'm still an armature and I've been a bowyer for about 5 years or so.

Thanks Cleveland for the suggestion. I have him bookmarked as well. At this point I'm mostly interested in laminated bows for some reason. The carving nature of a self bow makes me nervous for some reason.

Yes, I have watched his videos and must say I liked what he has got going.. Also he seems to be very good at explaining the bow build along videos. I have shared things with him and also built my own design of a lamination grinder .Inspired by his great work..
