Applying finish over the glass
« on: August 18, 2017, 09:42:00 AM »
Hi Guys.

A quick question- I use a simple water based laquer which I apply with a brush over the bow.
Do I apply it over the glaas too or just over the wooden patrs (mainly- the riser)?

And, if you have tip for finishing the bow with laquer (I don`t have anything else)- it`ll be great.

Thanks

Dor

Dor, the finish should go on the whole bow so you get an encapsulated seal.
I've never used lacquer finish but I believe you'll get the best results with a spray on finish. If the lacquer has self leveling properties it may work for you.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
