Limb pad angle

[3point or better]

I want to build a takedown longbow but cannot figure the limb pad angles is there a standard angle that is used? Any help on this would be great.

12 degrees is what I use on mine , I just make sure the nocks are ahead of the grip an inch or so to get a little preload. Or easier just go with a plan in place. hint hint.... lol !

I already built one of these It is pretty darn good design.

I dont build glass bows but for my wood bows I go 7 degrees. Does not seem to stress the limbs as much especially with highly reflexed tips. Have to remember I'm using a 7" brace height or higher and drawing 28" that is quite a bit of stress on the woodies..
