Pondering a short NTN recurve build

Here's what I've been pondering.
After hunting a few years with a Trad tech Titan II and carbon wood limbs 47lbs @ 28".Great shooting bow,with several deer to attest it.However the aluminum riser is cold and lifeless in the hand and the NTN of 60" is not long by any stretch of the imagination but being a saddle hunter on public land I find my self in some rather tight situations with limited range of motion.
So I thought it was about time I built up a new version of that setup to better accommodate my needs.
I'm thinking of using the rough geometry of that bow along with a bit more reflex in the limbs using stabil core and hard maple,veneers I'm undecided yet??The riser possibly Wenger or Black Ebony.
Aiming for 50-55lbs at 28" with a NTN of 56" or even 54" :0
Will I need a helmet to shoot it? Lol

Why not go "horse bow" short -- 48" NTN.  Several folks here have posted designs for such a critter, although those are 1-piece,not 3-piece bows.

The horse archers of history used bows from 44" NTN to 56" NTN, generally speaking.  The samurai, with their 74-78" yumi bows, were the exception to the general rule...

Thanks for the suggestion,I'll keep that in mind...for the moment how ever I'd like to stuck with a 3 piece take down and no ILF just bolted to the riser.
