Recommendations for a sprayer
« on: November 09, 2017, 09:09:00 AM »
Can someone recommend a good sprayer/sprayer kit system that will be great for using Thunderbird?
Thunderbird site says 1.4 valve for sat/matte finish which is what Im after.
Not so much worried about price.....doesn't have to be the absolute best but I also subscribe to buy once cry once.   And if it matters the only compressor I have right now is a small porter cable pancake for running a pin nailer and such....but I will step that up too if necessary.
So whats a good sprayer?

I have this one.

   https://www.amazon.com/Graco-Sharpe-289200A-Mini-HVLP-FX1000-Paint/dp/B00BI2DHFY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510263882&sr=8-1&keywords=sharpe%2Bfinex%2B1000&th=1

Your compressor should work for spraying a bow. But heck buy a bigger one. Ya can't have too many toys..    :)

yeah Roy I think Im going to go with the 30 gallon DeWalt compressor and a gun.....not sure which gun,  maybe the Kobalt.....like to keep it under $100 til I get some hands on as I have no experience with a sprayer like this.  I was also looking into an Ingersol Rand that goes for about 70 and gets real good reviews all over the place.
Undecided on the gun as of now.   As far as the compressor goes,  there are so many to choose from.....people say good and bad about every one of them.  Ive always had good luck with DeWalt stuff.....may as well try that one.
