Lamination sequence ?
« on: December 17, 2017, 05:10:00 PM »
Hi Fellas bare with me I'm asking some basic question here working my way to a glass bow but are the lamination sequence always the same in a glass bow made with multiple laminations is this the right configuration from the back up
Glass ,then tapers, then the parallel ,then belly glass I relies there could be carbon mixed in but do I have the basic configuration right ?

IMO - once glued up it is a composite and matters little the order.

You want to fit the riser to form with lams under it that will be used and not change the order from there on.

I put my thicker .002 taper under riser with a glass and parallel. Then the thinner .001 taper on top of riser because it bends easier up the belly ramps. Then the other parallel and glass.

Thanks Kenny I appreciate it I was thinking about building a strait  form and trying a HH bow thinking your bow is above my pay grade but I think after Xmas if the grand kids leave me any money I will pick up your template & prints and get to work on a form ,after studying here for a while it might be the path of least resistance !
