East Texas Sow
« on: October 04, 2009, 03:33:00 PM »
I was able to take this sow on the opening morning of the deer season in Texas.  The hogs keep spooking the deer away so, I took this sow out of the equation.

Anyone know how I can make these photos a little larger?

I shot a boar about 1 hour after shooting the sow, I could not find him in the thicket.  I have looked and looked.  My wife told me she wants pork chops.

I was hunting alone so, I took the picture using this litte, bendy, tripod from Wally World.  I bent it and wraped it to a tree.  Worked really good.  So thankful for the double time on the self timer!  With the regular time I kept getting photos of me 1/2 way to the pig.

Pick a spot!

I have an interesting one coming.  It is a vintage MR Hamilton Scorpion, Hill Style longbow.  Should be here today.  The bow in the sow photo is an Alaska Penisula Longbow made by Mike Carrol.  Those are not made anymore.  It is my brothers bow and has good medicine in that is the 5th animal the bow has taken.  I just like the Hill bows and grips better.

Gatekeeper,

I am just frustrated because the 5 pictures before that are of me halfway to the pig with the selftimer going off before I got behind the sow!!  I finally figured out the double time exposure.

I love the buck in your avatar, that headgear in mighty apealing to me.  Congrats to you on your recent bowhunting trophies.  Hope you are well.
