i have no experience with ie9 as i refuse to use it, but since i 'grew up' with ms-dos i do have a lot of experience with the microsoft corp.

so, the quickest and bestest answer i can offer is - use firefox as your browser of choice and not ie9 or any other ms browser.  in fact, do yerself a huge favor and ditch ms for linux.

Right click on the IE9 window up above in the blank area just above the address of the website. Then select "Menu bar".

After that the "file, edit, view, favorites, tools, help" shows up.

Cut and paste will be located under the edit menu.

Seems like when someone asks for help they should get it instead of off advice. Don't even get me started on Linux...

Thanks--found out that ALT brings up the menu. I like Firefox too but can't use it with my present Verizon setup.

Rob,

Verizon has been changing it's site and the scripts and extensions that it uses. There are quite a few complaints about compatibility with different browsers. IE, Chrome and firefox have issues for each person. All are intermittent. The My Verizon site is complicated and takes a long time to load in my Firefox 3.x version. I'm using Fedora as an OS and it is fast but the browsing is slow.

Everyone's mileage will vary.

Martin

martin,

i don't follow - is your net access via verizon?  what 'verizon site' do you mean?  do you have a web site on a verizon server?

r.

Don't forget keyboard shortcuts, ctrl-c is for copy and ctrl-v is to paste  ;)

Left pinky and index finger makes it pretty quick

I don't care for IE9 with a widescreen monitor. The Home button can't be moved.

My default browser is Firefox 4. Just curious. Has anyone tried a Firefox clone called "Pale Moon"?

Just put Pale Moon on, don't see very much difference between it and firefox, if any difference at all    :)

Firefox is a decent browser. I avoid putting add-ons as soon as I do then performance either becomes a problem or crashes start happening. Leaving it as it came seems to be best for me.

i use firefox exclusively, but via linux mint.  ALL my net/email activities are accomplished via linux - far less prone to bugs and cyber attacks.  apple?  nope, no thanx.

Both Pale Moon 4 and Firefox 4 are basically the same. From my own "unofficial" tests, I think Pale Moon is a tad bit faster than Firefox.

I prefer Pale Moon and Firefox over IE9. I only have two add ons with both PM and FF. One is "IE Tab 2" and "No Squint". The IE Tab 2 lets me play music from the Delicast internet radio stations and a banking site called USAA.

Before I found IE Tab 2, I had to use Internet Explorer for the Delicast and USAA sites.

With No Squint, I can set any website to a custom setting for viewing. It's default setting is 120%, but there are some sites where I have changed the site's setting to make it easier for my 61 year old eyes to see. As a bonus feature, it automatically remembers the site's setting the next time you visit the site. It isn't cookie dependent. The settings can be set up or down in 5% increments.

I have Trad Gang set on 115%.
