did something happen with the website?
« on: August 08, 2013, 07:23:00 AM »
not sure if this happened to anyone but I lost two years of recent posts,, I like to always go into my profile and visit recent posts to follow up with threads and now the last post is from 2011,, I know the site was down the other morning.

not sure who to contact but mods can delete this if needed I'm just curious about getting  back those posts to check some replys I made in threads.

I hadn't checked buy I just did and you're right. My last post, other than one from last night, is from May 2010.
Maybe they had to open up some room on the system or something.   :dunno:

Just checked mine and something is really weird.  Some of my old posts are there until May 2012 then nothing AND many of the posts aren't even mine but mixed up with other guys and not all the same person.

My last two posts from yesterday and this morning are listed, but there's only one more listed and it's from 2011.  Must be some recording glitch in the program.  I'm sure the moderators will look into it.

I've seen this type of glitch before. It usually gets cleared up but I have one recent post I can view that's actually mine.

I've also seen my avatar change to someone else's but it has eventually cleared up too.

for any and all questions about the trad gang website/forums, please post only in this forum (trad gang and computers) - all posts in this forum are automatically emailed to me for review.

or, send off an email or pm to me or the webmaster (well, that's me, too   :)   ) directly.

ted,

all of your posts going back to june of 2005 are still in our database and are all accessible by you.

the same is true for all members.

only the last 50 or so posts will show up in your profile, simply for space and speed considerations.

regards,
rob.

I don't know Rob, I just looked at your own 'recent posts' and there are posts listed that you never posted.  I'm sure everything is still there but it's 'confused' to say the least.

yep, we've known that "recent posts" isn't a perfect function.  since ubb classics has been grandfathered for nearly a decade, it's ("recent posts") something we're not probably not going pursue any time too soon.  terry and i have had a heckuva time dealing with the trad gang software, and invested a whole buncha time and money trying to make it better ... at least we try.  sorry.
