Bear kills a couple rats

Had to get in the grove for deer season. Figured taking out a couple rodents was a close as I could get. Nutria are non native and have no season or bag limit. As close as I could come to ground hogs on the outerbanks.
Used a tracking string since they would go into the water after the shot. 15 yd shot 2 yd recovery. 55# bear takedown.

According to some folks they are very edible. I cannot vouch for that myself, but I would be more than willing to try just about anything at least twice.

We Are trying to eradicate them on the Delmarva peninsula. They can tear up some marsh. Have cooked up a few. Brined, pressure cooked, then BBQ'd and they are pretty good. Deep fried like a turkey? Nasty!
