Need Help with Arrow choice

Fellas, I need some help finding a good starting place for a buddy of mine. He is just starting out in Trad so I want to take some of the headaches away. He says he likes carbon and aluminum, so if ya'll can give me some of both it would be great! I've got him shooting a 60" Kodiak Hunter 45#@28 and he's drawing it to 27 1/2". He plans on shooting 100 gr. BHs.
I'm working this guy hard to get him into our world! So any help would be appreciated. Thanks fellas, DAVE

Might want to try 1916's for the aluminum .

Carbonwood 2000 cut to 28.5"s and 175-200 up front probably closer to the 200, so ya could use 100 grain brass insert and 100 grain point. Shawn

1916's a good choice for aluminum. IF the Hunter is centershot(?) then a longer 2016 will probably work also with some heavy tips, if he wants a heavy arrow. With a 27.5" draw, and 45@28, the 1916's are probably the best starting point, however.

I shot 28" 2016's from an identical setup many years ago and always thought they shot great.

Axis or Beman MFX 500's with a 100 grain brass insert and 100 grain bh's....almost the exact set up my wife shoots and she shoots the arrows I just described....perfect for her and they weigh in about 500 grains.
