Hog down.....

Have had a dry spell since turkey season , all my hog hunting spots either have no hogs or have sold this year. A good friend said I could go try his place and it paid off. Super thick and green all over Texas this year makes for some tough hunting..
 
Started out with this guy in the cooler....

Then a big coon came in and wanted to make off with my squirrel and arrow but I changed his mind....

Ended up with what I thought to be a nice hog but she had what looked to be an infected gunshot wound on her back leg..
   
My son made me the leather Maltese-cross that is on my quiver earlier today and I do believe it brought me some luck..
